Round the Isle has come and gone.

We had a terrible race but it was still a very much enjoyable sail. As the hooter for start went off a motorboat picked up the buoy we thought was the other side of the starting line and removed it.  So us and 200 other yachts had to run back and look for the starting line.

And then we totally missed the boy at the island and had to turn back again. It happened while the spinnaker was up and we turned quicker as the reefing of the spinnaker - so we had ourselves a big mess, all on camera!! I just hope they do not use it anywhere in the media ;-)

Three quarters through the race the wind died - of cause only for us in the rear. So with 3 out of four of the crew asleep I turned back to Bayshore where we had a pizza and met up with Gus and some other friends.  We did a night sail back in a light breeze at about 8 on Sunday evening and arrived at Anchor Creek at about 10.  Jim Facey and the rest of the crowd from Ebenezer were still up so we joined in.  Round about then work interfered and I had to rush back.  I left Coenie and Ernie to the mercy of X10.
